Active, Analog, Elliptic Filter
Elliptic filters, sometimes called Cauer filters, differ from Bessel, Butterworth, and Chebyshev filters in that they provide an equal ripple stopband as well as an equal ripple passband. They do this by having jω axis zeros. They may be designed to have a very abrupt transition from the pass band to the stop band.
Eddy Current - Skin, and Proximity Effects
Eddy current results from changing magnetic fields within a conductor. Skin Effect results from circulating eddy currents, arising from a changing B field, cancelling the current flow in the center of a conductor and reinforcing it in the skin.

Aliasing, Anti-aliasing – What is that anyway?
In electronics it’s not about changing a name, but it is about the very gross distortions that can happen in sampled data signal processing. The common practice is to put a low pass filter in front of the sampled data system. This prevents any frequencies greater than one half the sample rate from entering. Hence the name anti-aliasing.

Why Should Sensors Be Isolated
Connecting a physical sensor to a data acquisition system is a serious undertaking. When mounted in the real world of electromagnetic signals and repetitive or one time emissions, several things should be considered. Signal Conditioning and Alias Filters
In general, most SCM have built-in Low Pass (LP) filters as part of their design. In addition to the obvious benefits of such filtering, there is the very important subtle benefit. Namely, SCM with high quality multi-pole LP filters can be viewed inherently as having anti-alias filtering capabilities.
